Mary Tilley Zeman was born on October 16, 1963 in Jamaica (Queens) N.Y. At the age of 34, after undergoing brain surgery for a benign brain tumor, she began to paint for the first time in her life. After returning to her job in television, she decided she would do everything she could to to be able to paint full-time and in October of 2000, she left her job to paint full-time. Mary has shown her work at the Fearrington Folk Art Show, North Carolina, Virginia-Highland Summerfest, WhoFest, FinsterFest, Folk Fest, the Inman Park Festival, House of Blues Orlando, Matildas, Alpharetta, GA, America! Oh, Yes, Nordstroms Atlanta, Pearls, Chattanooga, TN, Outsiders Gallery in Maine, and many other galleries and festivals in the Southeast. To date, Mary has sold over 1500 paintings and continues to pursue her artistic dreams everyday.
