Hello, and welcome to my store! I have been painting for over 13 years, and continue to try new things with my work. I am a painter, first and foremost, but I am taking my artwork and creating designs on doormats, nightlights, lamps, dishtowels, necklaces/pendants, magnets, furniture and other media in the coming years.
Today is Saturday June 18, 2011. I had a great trip to California in the spring and will have some sketches I did out there added to the site soon for sale. I'm slowly adding some new paintings to the website, and I'm working on a lot of new original artwork-drawings, paintings, collages and sculptures for the rest of the year. I was hoping to travel to Provence this summer, but as everyone probably already knows, art sales are way down because of the economy, so I'm trying to sell what I have and make a few new pieces when I can. As always, I'm selling recycled(and a few brand new) things on eBay that I find at thrift stores, consignment shops and estate sales-to see the treasures I have on eBay, check out my eBay store at http://stores.ebay.com/Beach-House-Colorful. With the economic slowdown that has happened, I've decided to wait to have more bundles of doormats made in India from my artwork. I LOVE them, and I think other people do too, and as soon as the economy improves, I will get more made. I sold all of my recent samples and people really want them-what's an artst to do? I'm trying to make the best of the situation and I am so glad that I can sell other treasures on eBay-I would love to sell both wholesale and retail, so if you are a store and you are interested in carrying my artwork, please contact me.
